Crafting A Life

We are innovative and inventive.

Our generation is this way and our friend group in particular has these qualities.
Our gifts to each other are often home made or locally sourced.
Our lifestyles are slightly off the beaten path.
Our fashion sense is OUT OF THIS WORLD!

On my ride home from sharing in Gaby and Jake's wedding, an incredible time and a bittersweet note to depart south on, my thoughts went back to that conversation we've had two or four times. That "what if?" conversation.

"What if we started a real-life skills school?"

"What if we went in on a piece of land together and all lived on it?"

And I started to put together lists of the skills we all have that could be shared/taught at a "school" or contribute to a communal property. This was all in my head of course as I was on the highway and to whip out a paper and pen would not be safe. I decided then that I needed an app or robot to dictate my thoughts as I often do my best thinking while driving. One could call me a distracted driver that way.

Long story short, there is so much we can do in this world and I think that much of it is very possible. It is so possible, that even though I was exhausted, when I got home, my brain was racing with all the things I want to grow and develop with my hands. These are the things I want to do NOW. More than finding my next job, or my next partner, or planning my next trip. I am impatient to plant orchard trees, build an outdoor kitchen, and have a milk goat and chickens of my own.

And how incredible if I get to share these things with a community - let alone my best friends.
I think I will do this.
I will do this.
